SEND A KID TO CAMP

Kids come to camp to learn how to swim, canoe, kayak, archery, ropes course, arts and crafts, overnight tripping and more... but they really learn about the spirit of the wilderness.

Built into all this fun are character and leadership lessons, such as communication, teamwork, problem solving and goal setting - the development of skills necessary for life success. But all of this costs money.

It costs $1,175 to send one kid to camp. These cost includes:

  • A round trip bus ride from Toronto to the Camp
  • A round trip boat ride from Russel Landing to Moorelands Camp (a first time boat trip for most kids)
  • Accommodation in cabins designed to address specific boys'-end needs and the girls'-end needs
  • 3 Meals plus 1 snack per day
  • Life jacket
  • Stand Up Paddle board lessons
  • On site health Centre and Nurse
  • Mandatory swim proficiency test and daily swim lessons for all campers
  • Campers sing songs, chant, skits and share inspiring stories about lessons learned at Camp around the campfire.
  • And built into all these programs, besides fun, are deeper leadership skills – skills necessary for life success – skills like communication, perseverance, listening, problem-solving and teamwork. These skills set the children up to succeed and thrive at home and in the school yard.  An above all, camp is an INCREDIBLE SUMMER EXPERIENCE made possible by our supportive and engaged community on Kawagama Lake.
